After fully recovering from my pulled right quad, I got to work to regain some of my conditioning.
I’ve really fallen in love with Kettlebells and managed to keep up with my 100 swings and also finally successfully execute the full Turkish Get Up.
Spring Break was the end of March and we went on vacation with my Emotional Support Kettlebells!
On vacation, I kept up with my 100 swings and a set of 5 TGUs on each side but on Day 3, my left knee gave out after a session.
It is frustrating but I need to give my body time to heal.
Today, the left knee isn’t completely right but we went on a good hike anyway to Rocky Fork State Park taking the lower loop.
Weather was absolutely breathtaking. It was a warm Spring day. No bear sightings today but we did see Mama and Baby bear prints in the mud.
It was a decent moderate hike and my knee (with a brace) kept up but I definitely am not in top shape and I did have to stop to take more ibuprofen halfway through with the knee.
I also ordered a set of these and I am hopeful they will help minimize the risk of more old lady knee injuries from frequent TGUs.
Michael is puzzled at why I’m struggling with the TGUs… Yes I think I’m still quite out of shape (well I’m a ROUND shape) but that exercise is no joke. I asked him to give it a try and come back and discuss it lol.
Cross your fingers for no more injuries for me as I try and regain some of my conditioning after weeks of injury and recovery!
