I did a lot of kettlebells this week and I have been working on my Turkish get ups step by step.
This weekend, we enjoyed a nice easy day hike to Wolf Creek Falls. My leg is mostly recovered and I only had a little bit of pain coming down the small mountain.
I knew we were in for some creek crossings that would get up to mid thigh so it was a good opportunity to test out my footwear as well as practice crossing safely.
I’ve been converted to my two layer of socks approach to avoid blisters and I was curious how they would fair drying after going through the creek.
I wear one pair of Injiji toe sock liners and then a pair of Darn Tough wool socks over them.

Yes the toe socks still look weird but I’ve not had a blister yet.
I am happy to report between the 5 Creek crossings, it seemed my socks and my boots dried pretty quickly and I had no blister trouble at all!
The trail was deserted and we got to sit by the beautiful falls by ourselves enjoying the afternoon sun and waterfall mist.

It’s hiking season – get out there!!
