I laid out my pack with my base items (no food and water).
It is a good exercise to take one final look at the list.
I discovered I could use a smaller bottle of multi-purpose soap and I’m rethinking my rain poncho situation. I ordered a Frogs Togs ultralight rain poncho I think will work better than my heavier raincoat.
I also don’t know about the sun hat. I’ve owned it a year and have worn it exactly twice. The GA section of the AT is very much covered by trees. I’m tempted to leave it at home.
A little bit of fine tuning to finish up in the next few days.
Using stuff sacks, it is looking like a manageable pack.
